Montrose Morse, or “Apus Brooks” was a vaudeville veteran, having began at age sixteen when he was pressed into program being a comedian whenever a comedy act on the Miami theater he was functioning at lost among its associates. Apus, either along with his wife, Estrellita,within a humor dance regular, or along with his longtime comedic partner Sandy “Ashes” Uses up, was a typical over the TOBA (Theater Owners Reservation Association) circuit for nearly fifty years.
