Isaac Hayes was the second-born kid of Isaac Sr. and Eula Hayes, but grew up by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Wade Sr. The kid of an unhealthy family, he was raised picking natural cotton in Covington, Tennessee. He slipped out of senior high school, only to end up being encouraged afterwards by his previous high school instructors to obtain his diploma. He gained his diploma at age 21. Otis Redding, Johnnie Taylor, The Bar-Kays and Booker T. Jones (afterwards of Booker T. & the M.G.s popularity) were a number of the “Memphis Appear” music luminaries Hayes caused during his early years being a budding musician and vocalist. He’s a multi-talented composer, vocalist and arranger who has the piano, vibraphone and saxophone similarly well.
