Mini Biography

Among the many professional wrestlers who all used his “Tx” background to produce a name for himself, Murdoch was among roughest and meanest of grapplers. He was adept at both singles and tag-team actions, gaining a little bit of popularity being a longtime partner of “The American Wish” Dusty Rhodes. Murdoch turned often from high heel to good man in various wrestling organizations, earning several minor game titles. He finally gained a “main” name in 1984, when teamed with Adrian Adonis. They gained the WWF Globe Tag-Team name by defeating “The Spirit Patrol” of Rocky Johnson (dad of “The Rock and roll” Rocky Maivia) and Tony Atlas. The duo (pumps) kept the WWF name for pretty much a calendar year, finally shedding it to fellow Texan Barry Windham and Mike Rotunda. Murdoch still left the organization afterwards and wrestled sporadically in various leagues, before retiring in the first 1990s. He passed away of an enormous coronary attack on his ranch in Tx, on June 15, 1996. He was 49.
