Mini Biography
Like his younger brother Terry Funk, Dory Funk Jr. was successful in the hyperbole that’s professional wrestling. Their father, Dory Funk Sr., was a long-time pro from the “fantastic” period of wrestling when the fits were genuine. Dory Jr. got his pro begin in 1963 and excelled being a wrestler, earning the coveted Country wide Wrestling Alliance (NWA) tournament from Canadian wrestler Gene Kiniski, and keeping the name for four years. He also teamed often with Terry (who also earn the NWA name) in an effective partnership. Funk began being a “great man” in wrestling, but as wrestlers frequently do, jumped towards the various other side from the paths and turned in a few memorable “theif” performances as well. He is today virtually retired through the active circuit.
