Everett McGill was created Charles Everett McGill III on Oct 21, 1945 in Miami Seaside, Florida. He graduated from Rosedale SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL in Kansas Town, Kansas in 1963. He qualified in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. McGill 1st gained interest from his unforgettable portrayal of Naoh, the first choice from the Caveman tribe in Search for Open fire (1981). He also performed the Fremen innovator Stilgar in David Lynch’s technology fiction epic Dune (1984). Along with his durable physique, chilly, sinister stare and husky, whispering tone of voice, McGill became generally unforgettable and well cast in villainous functions, like the double-crossing FBI Agent Edward Killifer in Licence to Destroy (1989) so when Penn, the terrorist innovator within Siege 2: Dark Place (1995).

2Like the other cast members of David Lynch's Dune (1984), McGill, who played Stilgar, was under contract to appear in sequels should the first film be a success. However, Dune performed poorly at the box office and those sequels were never made.
3Originally, J. Michael Straczynski intended to cast McGill in the role of Major Ryan in the Babylon 5 (1994) episode "Severed Dreams". However, Straczynski didn't know his full name, so when he asked to have McGill contacted to set up a meeting about casting him, his assistant asked if he meant Bruce, and Straczynski said yes. Bruce McGill was invited to meet with Straczynski, and it was only after the two met that Straczynski realized his mistake. Straczynski decided to use Bruce for the role of Major Ryan, despite this.
