Georgi Aleksandrovich Tovstonogov was created on Sept 28, 1915, in Tiflis, Russian Empire (today Tbilisi, Georgia). Teen Tovstonogov was keen on theater and started functioning on stage while at senior high school. In 1933 he transferred to Moscow to review performing and directing.
