Wayne ‘Ginger’ Lacey was created in Wetherby, Yorkshire, Britain, on 1st Feb, 1917. After becoming educated at Ruler James Grammar College in Knaresborough, he worked well like a dispenser before becoming a member of the RAF Volunteer Reserve in 1937. He also worked well as a soaring instructor using the Yorkshire Aeroplane Membership. Over the outbreak of the next Globe War Lacey became a member of the Royal Surroundings Force. An associate from the 501 Squadron he offered in France until Dunkirk in June 1940. Through the Fight of Britain Lacey, traveling his Hawker Hurricane, became the RAF’s leading traveling ace with 18 victories. This included capturing down a Heinkel He111 that bombed Buckingham Palace on 13th Sept, 1940. Promoted to Air travel Lieutenant, Lacey changed into traveling a Spitfire within the 501 Squadron. In November 1942 he was appointed key instructor from the Particular Attack Teachers’ College. In March 1943, Lacey was submitted to India before time for European countries in November 1944.
