Mini Biography

Hayden Campbell studied Film Building at the University or college of Canterbury Good Arts Film College in New Zealand. The Zoo was filmed in 2004, but Hayden’s journey towards the Zoo started four years earlier, a large number of kilometers away at an intersection in the South Isle town of Picton…. Hayden was supporting his dad deliver courier deals in Picton about Xmas Eve 2000. On the way to avoid it of town these were slowing at an intersection when three Israeli hitch-hikers putting on Santa hats shouted at them to avoid and present them a good start. Having nowhere to invest their first ever Xmas, Hayden’s father asked the Jewish backpackers to invest Christmas Trip to their residence in Blenheim. This possibility encounter motivated Hayden to go to Israel as well as the Palestinian Territories to film a documentary. In 2002 he still left film college halfway through his this past year to pursue this objective. Hayden proved helpful in South Korea for just two years teaching British to over zealous ten-year-olds (which in hindsight was great preparation to be in a battle zone) to be able to totally self-fund his documentary. After time for South Korea from Israel Hayden got no money still left to cover post-production costs, therefore he edited his whole documentary using Last Cut Pro with an Apple G4 iBook in the lounge of his house. Hayden today resides back in New Zealand, and happens to be focusing on his up coming documentary project.
