Mini Biography

Founded as the musical chapter of politics cultural movement NSK (Neue Slowenische Kunst/Brand-new Slovenian Art) by Tomaz Hostnik and Miran Mohar, both members from the Yugoslavian army. Laibach’s initial multimedia task ‘Rdeci Revirji’ (Crimson Districts) was prohibited by the regulators before they also performed it [Sept 1980]. In 1982, Laibach produced their initial concert accompanied by various other displays around Yugoslavia but vocalist Tomaz Hostnik dedicated suicide. He was changed by Milan Fras. After getting signed with the United kingdom label, Mute Information, in the eighties, Laibach surfaced among the best commercial music bands.
