Mary Jane Gumm was created on 24th Sept 1915 as the oldest child of vaudevillians Frank and Ethel Gumm and long term older sister from the celebrity Judy Garland. She grew up in Grand Rapids and, along with her more youthful sister Virginia ‘Jimmie’, performed a dance take action at their father’s vaudeville theatre referred to as The Gumm Sisters, while their mom performed the piano. The sisters experienced tremendous skill, although these were nothing in comparison to their youngest sister Baby Frances, the near future Judy Garland. Their mom continuously kept attempting with all three of her daughters and after shifting from their house in Minnesota in 1927 when Mary Jane was 12, they begun to choose auditions in displays and bigger even more well-known nightclubs. After some poor testimonials, Mary Jane chose that a lifestyle of present business wasn’t what she wished and, along with Jimmie, she supported out and then perform at their father’s vaudeville movie theater in 1930. She afterwards continued to marry Lee Kahn and transformed her name to Suzanne Kahn.
