Ming-Na (“enlightenment”) was created on the isle of Macau, forty kilometers from Hong Kong. Her mom, Lin Chan Wen, divorced her dad when Ming-Na was just a toddler. She’s an older sibling named Jonathan. Following the divorce, they transferred to Hong Kong where her mom became a nurse. There her mom fulfilled Soo Lim Yee, a U.S. businessman. They shortly married, with four years, Ming-Na transferred with her family members to Queens, NY. Five years afterwards, they used in Yee’s hometown of Pittsburgh where his family members works the Chinatown Inn cafe. Jonathan and half-brother, Leong, today manage this cafe. Struggling to squeeze in at college, she transformed her name to Maggie & Doris.
