Blessed in Montevideo in 1974. He studied public conversation in the Catholic school of Uruguay where he started directing shorts films. There he also fulfilled Juan Pablo Rebella, his partner being a article writer and director in every his movies. After finishing their degree, he started employed in commercials and Television in Uruguay. In 2001 he aimed, with Juan Pablo Rebella, his initial movie, “25 w”, inspired by Jim Jarmusch and Kevin Smith, tells the storyplot of three close friends looking to get some enthusiasm throughout a boring weekend in Montevideo. “25 W” was well condidered in lots of festivals all over the world. During 24 months, Pablo Stoll and Juan Pablo Rebella worked in the screenplay of their second film: Whisky. It became one of the biggest surprises at its discharge in the Cannes Film Celebration in 2004. Since that time, it’s been released worldwide.
