Prolific songwriter (“Deep Crimson”, “PERHAPS YOU HAVE Ever Been Lonesome?”, “Wagon Tires”, “A Marshmallow Globe”), composer, pianist and writer, educated in DeWitt Clinton SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL; his 1st music research was along with his sister. He became a member of the staff from the G. Ricordi Organization, and was an early on radio performer on radio (“Sweethearts from the Air flow” [1923-1929] along with his wife Might Singhi Breen, over NBC). He published tunes for the Broadway musicals “Yes Yes Yvette”, “Earl Carroll’s Vanities of 1928”, and “Ziegfeld Follies of 1934”. Becoming a member of ASCAP in 1922, he collaborated musically along with his wife and with Jo Trent, Harry Richman, Charles Tobias, Billy Hill, Mitchell Parish, Bert Shefter, Benny Davis, Al Stillman, Sammy Gallop, Sam Lewis, Stanley Adams, and Carl Sigman.
