Helen was created in Burma for an Anglo Indian dad named George Desmier and a Burmese mom named Marlene. Her dad went missing through the Second Globe War. Her family members migrated to India in 1942 as refugees to be able to get away from japan invasion of Burma. Helen was presented to Bollywood in 1953 with the well-known dancer Cuckoo. She got her break in 1958 when she performed the tune ‘Mera Naam Chin Chin Choo’ in the film Howrah Bridge. Helen seldom got jobs as the business lead heroine in films. Therefore, she opted dance which became her fortune. Through the entire 1960’s and 1970’s, she danced in a lot more than 700 films establishing herself being a prolific dancer. She was known for putting on different shades of wigs, contacts and skimpy clothes in her films.
