Thomas Bertram Costain was a novelist focusing on historical fiction; he released his first book, “For My Great Folly” when he was fifty-seven years of age. Before after that, he was a newspapers reporter for regional papers around his birthplace of Brantford, Ontario; in 1915, he’d become the controlling editor for Macleans’magazine, and would serve for the reason that post until 1920 when he became the editor-in-chief from the Sunday Night Post.
