David Bowes-Lyon was the 6th son from the ten kids of Claude George Bowes-Lyon, 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne. His elder sister became Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mom. He was in the Ministry of Economic Warfare in 1940 before moving towards the Uk Embassy in Washington between 1942 and 1944. In 1929 he wedded the Grandaughter of William Waldorf Astor, 1st Viscount Astor, the American founder from the Waldorf-Astoria Resort, who became a naturalized English subject matter in 1899. He was made a Knight Commander from the Royal Victorian Purchase in 1957 by his niece, Queen Elizabeth II without Primary Minister Harold Macmillan’s guidance.
