Munir Hussain was a film playback singer in Pakistan through the 1950s – 1970s time frame. He sang over 300 tracks for 163 movies. His maternal uncle (Maamoon), the renowned film music movie director Rashid Attre and his cousin, another renowned film music movie director Safdar Hussain performed instrumental jobs in presenting him towards the Pakistani film globe in 1957. Therefore he did result from a family group of music artists.His uncle had him rehearse to excellence, his first super-hit film tune ” Qaraar Lootanay Waalay Tu Qaraar Ko Tarsay” ,lyrics by Saifudin Saif for his film Saath Laakh (1957) and Munir Hussain shot to popularity as this tune became hugely popular amonst the open public. In the same season 1957, his cousin Safdar Hussain got him sing some tracks to get a Punjabi vocabulary film Nooran (1957) that also became strike songs.After that came films like Mukhra (1958), Koel (1959), Gulfam (1961), Aulad (1962), Tauba (1963) and Heer Ranjha (1970) . He sang many well-known film tracks in these movies. Since he previously some traditional music schooling behind him, film music directors utilized to choose him for semi-classical tracks. He did a respectable amount of playback performing for about twenty years but under no circumstances reached a huge star position as his contemporaries Salim Raza , Masood Rana and Ahmed Rushdi do who became popular than him. He passed away on 27 Sept 1995 and left out many many well-known hit songs to keep in mind him by.
