Patrick Alexander (1926-2003) worked like a journalist and later on a Television script article writer. His first book, Death of the Thin-Skinned Pet (1976), won honours and was converted to the film The Professional (1981), starring Jean-Paul Belmondo. His later on novels included Display Me A Hero (1979), Soldier ON THE OTHER HAND (1983) and Ryfka (1988).
