Puppeteer, clown and musician. Before graduating the Chicago Academy of Great Arts, he found Chicago children’s tv in 1952 carrying out visual arts for the Magic Pulling Board for the “Garfield Goose and Close friends” plan. He became the show’s puppeteer quickly thereafter. In 1968, he developed Cooky the Make for “Bozo’s Circus” when the manufacturer and article writer, who also performed Sandy the Tramp, announced he was departing the show. Dark brown restyled a discarded Bozo hairpiece and various other props, and his “audition” was on the live Bozo plan the next week. He received a Chicago/Midwest Emmy award in 1992. In 1993, he was inducted in to the Chicago Section of the Country wide Academy of Tv Arts and Sciences’ Metallic Circle, as well as the Internatonal Clown Hall of Popularity in Wisconsin.
