In 1911 he joined up with a Tokyo newspaper being a journalist. In 1917 he creates his first book in the “Narration Membership” and in 1927 he founded, with Ranpo Edogawa and various other prominent writers, a link to propel well-known books. Hasegawa speciallized in jidai-geki and chabara books. From 1926 his books begin to end up being converted into films.
