American-born Victor Schertzinger educated being a violinist and toured internationally, after that became a symphonic conductor. His initial film credit was for composing the orchestral accompaniment for Civilization (1915). He aimed the Charles Ray movies, among others, through the silent period. He returned to composing when talkies emerged in, numerous credits through the entire ’30s, ending using the Fleet’s In (1942), which made an appearance posthumously after his unexpected loss of life in 1941.
